Patricia Rucinsky, RN, BSN
Patricia Rucinsky, RN, BSN, has been with the Institute for Reproductive Medicine and Science since 2000, after working with the Saint Barnabas Health Care System since 1985. In her role as Clinical Nurse Manager, Pat overseas the daily clinical activities of the practice.
“My current role enables me to use all the skills that I have developed over the years…I feel satisfied at the end of the day if I can leave knowing that all of my patients’ needs have been met.”
Patricia graduated from Seton Hall University College of Nursing with a Bachelor of Science in nursing degree in 1977. She is certified in neonatal advanced life support and neonatal IV therapy. Prior to coming to IRMS, Patricia worked as a nurse in a variety of neonatal and pediatric intensive care settings and also held a number of administrative and managerial positions.
Patricia refers to herself as a “just a regular person” – but her colleagues and patients have come to know and appreciate other sides of this dedicated professional. They see an experienced teacher with a wealth of knowledge, a calm and soothing nurse with a talent for making people smile, and a compassionate caregiver who has earned the admiration, respect and love of her co-workers and patients. In short, they see not simply a ‘regular person’, but an extraordinary individual whose talent, generosity, spirit and wit inspires everyone around her.
When she is not working, Patricia says that she is an avid Yankees and Giants fan who likes to cook and spend time with her family and her husband of 27 years.
